Jessica Ellen Cornish, popularly known by the name of Jessie J, is a popular English singer and songwriter. Jessie has gained notoriety early due to her unique style of music that mixes soul vocals and hip-hop, pop and electropop. Jessie has also won numerous awards and nominations, for instance, the 'Critics Choice Brit Awards' as well as 'BBC's Sound of 2011.' Her career began at the young age of 11 when she was featured in 'Whistle Down the Wind,' a musical that was written by English composer Andrew Lloyd Webber. Then, she joined the National Youth Music Theater and performed in their 2002 production, 'The Late Sleepers'. Her fame was boosted in 2011 with her debut studio album "Who You Are,' which came out on February 28.
